Function:
1. The dyno uses an Eddy current load, controlling load via electric current to apply the required test conditions and simulate real-world operating conditions
2. Engine RPM lock
From the electric load, we use it to lock the engine RPM in order to read the mixture values for tuning, or to observe the bike's behavior at a specified engine speed
3. Simulates real-road conditions, with adjustable incline and adjustable aerodynamic drag
4. Measures horsepower and torque, and displays the various values against engine RPM
– The measured graphs must overlap on every curve under the engine's unchanged condition
– Fast, precise response
– Measures the same horsepower across every gear range
5. Four sensor input channels for adding extra measurements, such as
– AFR sensor: measures the air-fuel ratio; the graph shows the mixture value against engine RPM, compared with horsepower and torque
and other sensors to report the engine's condition at that moment, such as MAF, MAP, EX-Temp
6. The software is developed by Thais, bringing all the functions essential for testing into this dyno. Designed by APITech in collaboration with DynoLab, it gives tuners a vehicle test lab with world-class tooling at a Thai price, with software updates as new versions are released. That's why we built this dyno and set it up for tuners to use — living up to the name API Dyno Lab, the Thai engine development lab.
